Larry & Debbie Harrington

Senior Pastors

Pastor Larry spent the first 35 years of his "working life" as a building contractor, designing and building hundreds of homes in the Brant county area and beyond. Early in 2008 the Lord called him to do a different kind of building as Senior Pastor of Yeschurch. The roots of Yeschurch go back many years and Larry and Deb have called this church home since 1980. They have had the opportunity to work in many aspects of ministry over the years, as the Lord was training them up for full time ministry.

They were married in 1975 and have two children Carly and Dennis. The Lord has blessed Carly with Randal, her husband and three incredible children Rylie, Brooklin and Ava. The Lord has blessed Dennis with Amanda, his wife and two incredible children  Becket and Wilder.

Larry and Deb lead a very active life and especially enjoy the warm weather so they can be boating or on their mountain bikes, riding through the woods and on the rail trails. They also enjoy motorcycling, exploring the country roads and small towns.

Barb Sharp

House of Prayer

Barb and her husband Howard have been married for 57 plus years.  They are the parents of four married daughters and have eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren. They serve on the Board of Elders at Yeschurch and love the Lord and His Word. Young people have come into their lives over time and through it all they have established life-long relationships including a special young woman and her family that are very dear to them. They enjoy each other, their family and friends and the “Connect Group Family” that have met in their home for several years. Since their marriage they have been part of this family of believers and have seen the Lord work in marvelous ways to bring Yeschurch to the place it is now. Reading and walking are welcome times of relaxation.

About seven years ago the Lord was prompting Barb to start a time of corporate prayer on a regular basis. Thus, the House of Prayer began on Tuesday and Thursday mornings with three and four people coming regularly.  Gradually this expanded to several committed folks coming each time and to folks who come when they are able.  Many Praise Reports have been celebrated!
A suggestion was made that each Wednesday evening, the end of each month for folks who couldn't attend in the a.m., and for an invitation for healing and deliverance.  This took place for some time and starting this winter, the evening expanded to the Sanctuary and a time of Praise and Prayer. How awesome it is to see what the Lord has done, is doing and will do.

Oswald Chambers said, “If we only look for results in the earthlies, we are ill-taught.  A praying saint performs far more havoc among the unseen forces of darkness than we have the slightest notion of.”

Kendra Geneau

Children's Ministry

Kendra is passionate about teaching children; she sees each child as an individual and learns more and more about who God is through their unique individuality.  Kendra pursued her passion by taking the Early Childhood Education and continued on to become a Montessori Teacher.  After enjoying many years in the teaching field she decided to commit to giving her own two boys Haden and Griffin, a Christian education at home with the loving support of her husband Mike.  Recently Kendra joined the Children's Ministry to work alongside Louise, by organizing the overall ministry and program planning for the Jr. Super Kids.  Kendra and her husband also have the privilege to serve as Elders and have had the pleasure to witness Haden and Griffin give their heart to Jesus through water baptism at Yeschurch.  The love, acceptance, and support they have received by their Yeschurch family are more than words can say.  Kendra gives all her gratitude to her Heavenly Father.

Celebrate Recovery

Amy Beecraft

Amy has been married to Trevor and step-mom to Connor since 2010.  She gave her life to Jesus when she was 15 years old and only knew that God loved her and that she wanted to serve Him whole heartedly and help others. Since then, she and her husband spent 10 years working with youth on the street with Why Not City Missions.

Amy and her family have found a warm home at YESChurch in 2011 and look forward to growing the family even more. She now has the honour of serving on the Board of Directors and as an Elder with her husband.

Teaching music in an elementary school full-time, which she absolutely loves, Amy is literally in music full-time.  She is leading the Music Ministry with a talented group of singers and musicians who love the Lord and love to worship like she does.  We all sing and play for the glory of God!

Celebrate Recovery Inside

The love of Jesus through Celebrate Recovery that has healed and changed me has allowed me to go into the dark places some choose not to go and has allowed me to take on the position of Canada Representative for Celebrate Recovery Inside. Since Jan 2009, I’ve had the privilege of being one of a team taking Celebrate Recovery Inside Grand Valley Federal Prison for Women in Kitchener and now travel to Vanier Centre Provincial Jail for Women in Milton every Friday. Celebrate Recovery or Life’s Healing Choices (CR Lite) has been or is currently running in a dozen prisons and jails from BC to NFLD. Regardless of the problem – whether emotional, financial, spiritual, relational, sexual, chemical, criminal or other – the steps to recovery are the same. Each of us needs repentance and recovery in order to live our lives the way God intended. “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.....The wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” Romans 3:23 and 6:23.
